RAISINA ECONOMIC COUNCIL
The Raisina Economic Council is a policy-focused simulation rooted in the realities of governance, fiscal responsibility, and national economic strategy.
Drawing from a tradition of serious institutional engagement, this committee moves beyond surface-level discussions of budgets and taxation. It places delegates in a position where every allocation, every policy shift, and every economic decision must be justified within the constraints of a developing economy.
The intent is not to replicate a budget—it is to understand the weight behind it.
Delegates must navigate competing priorities, limited resources, and the inherent trade-offs between growth, equity, and stability. Decisions are expected to reflect not only economic logic but also political and social feasibility.
The Raisina Economic Council was introduced to emphasize that economic planning is not an abstract exercise. It is a continuous process of negotiation, prioritization, and compromise.
This committee demands clarity, discipline, and a grounded understanding of India’s economic realities. It is not about proposing ideal outcomes. It is about constructing viable ones.
